Dear students,
Finals begin tomorrow, and we are now in the home stretch. This will be the final weekly update for the spring 2021 semester! Thanks for sticking with us through all the twists and turns of the COVID-19 environment. A special congratulations to all our graduating seniors. We look forward to seeing you on Fisher Field soon! Here are some final pieces of information for you.
- One student positive and zero employee cases were found in testing over the past seven days. At least 80% of our on-campus students have some immunity by being fully or partially vaccinated or through natural immunity as a result of a COVID-19 infection. As planned, we will finish the semester at Operational Level 1.
- As you make plans with your families to move out, please remember, despite the change in state guidance on masking, visitors to campus should still be masked inside any building—including your residence hall when you move out.
- Weekly testing and the daily symptom checker will both end on May 28.
- More details will come this summer regarding fall semester, but as we now stand and as more people get vaccinated across the country, in Pennsylvania, and on campus, we continue to be increasingly optimistic that the full range of experiences you want to have will become possible. From classes, student programming, and dining experiences to guests and travel, we continue to plan for a more normal fall experience.Â
