To Faculty and Staff:

Northampton County will enter the green phase on June 26; however, remote work remains preferred even when we reach this milestone. The Office of Human Resources, in conjunction with each division head, is evaluating our back-to-work processes for all employees. Division heads have received guidance on how to identify staged returns to the offices for staff.

With very limited exceptions, employees will not begin phasing back to working on campus before July 20. All decisions on returning to on-campus work are predicated on Northampton County remaining in the green phase. Your division head will notify you of your confirmed return-to-work date. No College employee should return to campus until you are notified to do so. Not all employees will return to their offices this summer and, when possible, some may continue to work remotely during the fall. We ask for your flexibility as we map out the return process over the coming months and as guidance from the Commonwealth continues to evolve.

All employees are required to attend a back-to-work training session via Zoom offered by Environmental Health & Safety and Human Resources:

  • Tuesday, June 30, at 11 a.m.
  • Wednesday, July 1, at 2 p.m.

If you can’t make either of the two live training dates, a recording will be available for your review. This training will cover the appropriate use of personal protective equipment, how to obtain two cloth masks provided by the College, how to keep you and your co-workers and students as safe as possible, and other important information about the COVID-19 environment.

Please also review the Guide for Returning to the Workplace and retain this information for future reference.

If you have health or other concerns about returning to the workplace after you have received information regarding your return date, please contact Human Resources using this form.

Questions regarding your return to campus or office procedures should be answered by your supervisor. If you have any general questions about our process and planning, please let me know.
