As noted in a previous edition of Lafayette Today, Bailey Health Center has expanded testing capacity by offering walk-up rapid antigen testing at 9-11:30 a.m. and 1-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Testing is not required for fully vaccinated individuals per guidance from the CDC. However, it is available on campus if your family circumstances necessitate being tested before traveling home. Some helpful information:
- To get tested, you’ll need to sign up this week. All testing is done in the tent outside the rear entrance of the health center.
- You should not get tested if you had COVID-19 within the past 90 days.
- If you test positive, you will need to move to isolation housing unless you can safely return home for the required time (per the CDC, isolation is for 10 days after the onset of symptoms or, if asymptomatic, 10 days after the positive test). If your travel plans include using a common carrier (bus, train, airplane), you will not be permitted to leave campus and must isolate in College-provided accommodations.
- This is not a PCR test. If you require one, plan to use a local pharmacy or health care provider.
If you plan to remain on campus for any portion of the break, register using the break stay application in MyHousing.
