Spring 2022 COVID-19 booster requirement

  • All fully vaccinated students, faculty, and staff are required to receive a COVID-19 booster before Feb. 1, 2022.
  • Any of the CDC-approved booster vaccines (Pfizer/BnT, Moderna, J&J/Janssen) will qualify for this requirement. Find booster availability and check booster eligibility based on the vaccine received.

Student Booster Requirements

Deadline
If you have not already done so, make plans to receive a COVID-19 vaccine booster during the winter break. To avoid complications with check-in, students are strongly encouraged to upload their booster information by Jan. 17. The deadline for receiving a vaccine booster is Feb. 1.

Exemptions
Students who currently have a medical or religious exemption are encouraged to discuss with their medical provider or clergy whether it is now appropriate to receive the vaccine. The health outcomes for unvaccinated individuals remain more significant than for those who have been vaccinated. Those with exemptions do not need to reapply but are required to continue testing weekly.

Proof of booster vaccination
Students must upload proof of a booster to their electronic medical record. Proof of vaccination includes a legible copy of your vaccine card.

Faculty/Staff Booster Requirements

Exemptions
Medical or religious exemptions for employees whose health or religious beliefs have changed require appropriate documentation to review. Employees can request an exemption by making a reasonable accommodation request. In addition to the information requested on the form, employees must clearly explain what has changed since receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

In reviewing these requests, the College will also consider whether you submitted any prior exemption requests, the content and outcome of those requests, and the fact that you received a COVID-19 vaccination. Social, political, and economic beliefs and philosophies, or personal preferences alone, do not constitute religious beliefs.

Proof of booster vaccination
All College employees must indicate their COVID-19 vaccine booster status. Employees unable to upload their vaccination card should call the Office of Human Resources at 610-330-5060. Dining and custodial contract employees will be contacted by supervisors about providing proof of vaccine booster.
